Our Curriculum
At Waddingham Primary, our school curriculum is planned to equip our children with the knowledge and skills that they will need throughout their lives. Our thematic approach allows children to make links within and between subjects in order that a deeper understanding is developed and that children find it easier to remember more. We have a bespoke two year cycle of learning in Classes 2 and 3, and a three year cycle in Class 1. Learning through a theme/ topic ensures that children are engaged, motivated and enthused by their learning in all areas of curriculum: Science, Geography, History, Religious Education (R.E.), Art, Design and Technology, Music and Personal Social Health and Economic (P.S.H.E). It enables the children to make purposeful links between subjects and reflect upon the importance of each of these within our evolving world. To enable our children to reach their potential, we encourage high standard of work and seek to develop independence providing opportunites for the children to explore and be curious.
